A lamination transformer is a type of transformer that uses laminated iron cores to improve efficiency and reduce losses. The laminated iron cores are made up of thin sheets of iron that are stacked together, with an insulating layer between each sheet. This design helps to reduce eddy current losses, which occur when a magnetic field induces currents in the iron core, leading to energy loss in the form of heat. By using laminated iron cores, the eddy current losses are minimized, resulting in a more efficient transformer
